Check out Bronx rapper Hocus45th speaking to Bronx rappers about disrespecting the dead in their musical lyrics, while New York rap continues to trend we are beginning to notice the rap tone seems to be favoring much of Chicago rap lyrics, disrespecting the dead. Rappers like OTF Lil Dirk & RIP King Von were notoriously known for dropping bars like “Smoking on Tooka” & “Getting high as Duck”, both Chicago legends who were gunned down in Chicago street violence, much of Chicago violence stems from retaliation between rival gangs which seem to never die down especially due to disrespectful rap bars and lyrics. These lyrics are forever etched in the mind of the victims family & friends letting them know retaliation at this point is mandatory. Hocus45th bringing this to the forefront of the music industry sheds light on a subject which has been taken very lightly, just by calling it out for what it is Hocus45th may have inadvertently saved a young boys life by making him second guess dissing a dead gang member in their lyrics. We need more artist calling out this type of behavior and keeping rap disrespect to a tone that is more tolerable.
